Two-day Mas du Clos / Charade programme

New in 2024 – The Classic Racing School presents the ultimate driving experience. For two days, take the wheel of our historic single-seaters on two legendary circuits.

On the first day, discover the fast and twisty Mas du Clos track. The former Ferrari test track, located an hour from Clermont-Ferrand, will offer you the best sensations you can get in a single-seater.

The following day, you will head to Charade for another day of driving on this legendary circuit, scene of four Formula 1 Grands Prix from 1965 to 1972. Our team of professional instructors will accompany you throughout these two days, so that you can combine the thrills and excitement of learning to drive the old-fashioned way. The ultimate Classic Racing School experience, with accomodation included between both days.

Up to 18 drivers per session | 8h00 – 18h00. Thursdays and Fridays.

Program content:

Mas du Clos and Charade circuits fully privatized
Safety briefing and introduction to track driving with sighting laps
12 x 20 minute sessions behind the wheel of a Crosslé 90F single seater
Personalized coaching sessions with professional race instructors such as Pierre Sancinéna (GT4 and Alpine world champion); Laurent Fradetal (two-time Formula Ford champion); Arthur Rougier (professional GT World Challenge driver); Stéphane Brunetti (seasoned Formula Ford race winner)
Video coaching using onboard video footage and timed lap sessions
Breakfast and open bar throughout the day with snacks and soft drinks

Conditions:

Have a valid driver’s permit .
Minimum age to drive: 18 years old or proven competition experience if younger.
Reservation possible by payment of deposit with remainder to be paid in full up to 10 days before chosen date.
Required: Safety deposit (cheque or credit card) – 8 000€ or 3 000€ if the Insurance pack is added.
Accomodation close to the Mas du Clos circuit is included for the driver and one relative.
Family members or friends are more than welcome to join you during your Classic Racing School experience, with a complete experience available to them when choosing the Accompanying pack: Breakfast, lunch, open bar throughout the day, champagne and a complete tour of the track and its facilities.
Possibility to book a seat for either you or your family/friend for a 3-lap passenger experience in our 1966 Crosslé 9S 2-seater sports-prototype. Available to book online on checkout or once on track depending on availability of seats.

Especially built for us by the original factory in Northern Ireland, we have 10 Crosslé 90F single seaters that have been recreated and modernized, based on their 1969 Crosslé 16F.

AN AUTHENTIC ’60S IMMERSION

A racing school for every level of driving. Our single seaters might look vintage, but their ’60s look are deceiving: They are more spacious, safer and more driver friendly than the 1969 original, being able to accomodate all levels of driving and sizes.
